ETA is part of the consortium implementing Greenport Alliance, an EU-funded action that will support universities, maritime academies and other vocational training providers in the definition and testing of new educative materials that will assist seafarers and prospective marine personnel develop greener skills. These should help them reduce emissions and save energy in daily port operations and at the same time, address the skills shortages.
One of the project´s first steps is the collection of information on the training needs of the sector’s workers. With that aim the ETA has defined a questionnaire for the industry that is open to any type of worker, crews, tugmasters, technical and managerial personel.
