Executive Committee

The Executive Committee acts as an advisory body to the General Meeting and the Board of Directors. It formulates strategies, designates policies, rules and procedures, deals with issues and recommends actions to the Board of Directors conducive to further the purpose of the Association. The Executive Committee representatives speak for the ETA members and the towage sector in their  countries.

The Executive Committee meets at least twice a year, in the autumn and during the celebration of the ETA Annual Meeting. Each country represented in the European Tugowners Association by a member, has the right to have a Representative and a Deputy Representative on the Executive Committee, both being nominated by the full members of the individual countries or the national tugowners associations.
