ETA is organizing its next webinar dedicated to the sector experiences with LNG and hybrid tugs on the 17th of February. The environmental regulations and the targets set out on the maritime industry have put on the forefront the requirement to start looking at cleaner vessels and more environmental friendly fuels. Whereas different technologies are being proposed and developed, there seems as yet to be no one clear technology that will provide a solution to the industry. A number of members have already been investing in cleaner technologies and have been early adaptors of some of these innovative solutions.

The aim of this webinar is to listen to the experiences of members and companies who have invested in LNG and hybrid technology. Towage companies representatives will analyse the different reasons to choose these options, how the crews have had to adapt to these new technologies and their impact in terms of emissions or fuel savings. Moreover, a representative of the gas infrastructure sector shall describe the upcoming technical and policy developments that will support the adoption of these solutions.

This webinar is open to all members who are interested in discussing the business case of these technologies. This will be the first of a series of webinars addressing the towage sector current issues that ETA Secretariat has decided to organize periodically.

You can find the agenda here.

Members interested in participating can already send their interest by sending an email to registration@eurotugowners.com.
